Redesigning a Everyday Tool Through the Lens of Ergonomics

Re imagining the Morgan for the Electric Age

This project set out to redesign the conventional hot glue gun — a tool used daily in craft, industrial, and repair contexts — with a focus on ergonomic grip comfort, heat management, and user safety. The redesign addresses the awkward trigger angle, heat exposure from the nozzle, and the instability of the standing position.

Multiple design iterations were explored through sketching and 3D modelling before arriving at a final design that improves hand fatigue reduction, glue flow control, and safe nozzle positioning.
